Primary health care is a key strategy for achieving universal health coverage (UHC). Strong primary healthcare systems increase access to quality healthcare services and effective healthcare service delivery at the community level. Nopar shall model primary healthcare through the Nopar community hospital, primary health clinics, and supporting community health promoters.
A combination of community health with well-functioning health facilities and strong referral systems has great potential to save lives. Implementing this will see a world in which all women survive childbirth and children live and thrive.
Our commitment to communities extends to education. We’re bridging educational disparities, supporting curriculum implementation, promoting IT and STEM education, and fostering an inclusive environment for girls’ education.
Education changes the fortunes of families, transforms lives, and changes the course of communities. Public schools where a majority of our communities access education are underinvested heightening already existing disparities. The recent changes to Kenya’s education curriculum have heightened these disparities.
Nopar believes that future inequality can be averted with investments in education today.
In our pursuit of holistic well-being, we recognize that a lack of income takes away the dignity of our communities and more so women and contributes to other negative social impacts such as gender-based violence.
From supporting access to tools for improved productivity to upskilling artisans, Nopar shall invest in productive assets for the community, improve incomes, and bring dignity to families.
The reality of climate change is being felt in rural communities like ours that depend on land for livelihoods. We believe that communities have the knowledge and tools to mitigate the impacts of climate change and help reverse its course.
We’re planting one million indigenous trees in partnership with communities and governments, and instilling a culture that celebrates environmental stewardship. Together, we’re cultivating a sustainable future.
